"…The workshop on Collaborative Processes provided me with new ideas about techniques, tools and processes that I can use in challenging situations that we face everyday in trying to put collaborative management processes in place in South Africa."

The Buck Kingman Small Grants Initiative (SGI) provides seed money to support Beahrs ELP alumni-initiated conservation and sustainable development collaborative projects.
To extend access to the ELP beyond Berkeley, the program encourages and supports its alumni to develop “Regional Initiatives” adapted to local contexts, populations, and needs. This strategy greatly multiplies the impacts of the ELP around the world and enables alumni to use their leadership skills in developing and delivering appropriate training/capacity-building in their own countries and communities.
