Described as forthright and a reliable team player, Dolphine Anyango has made a name for herself in zoology and biological sciences. She is currently a lecturer in the Biological Sciences Department at the University of Kabianga, heavily giving lectures on zoology and ecology. In addition, in her position she also coordinates research and outreach programs for the local community. Her PhD research topics are on the biology and ecology of the Anopheles gambiae mosquito around Lake Victoria Basin in Western Kenya.
Besides teaching, Dolphie also likes helping out others in the community. She, as the Assistant Project Director of Soroptimist International aims to build small scale poultry farms and dairy goat projects, and to donate materials to Morning Star Nursery and the Smiling School in Rabour.
