Md. Humayain Kabir is currently an Assistant Professor of Environmental Science at the Institute of Forestry and Environmental Sciences at the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh. He was previously a research fellow under National Science and Information, Communication and Technology Fellowship Programme in Bangladesh for his MS thesis work titled “Economic Valuation of Halda River”.
He received his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh. Currently, he is pursuing a MSc in Climate Change at the University of East Anglia, United Kingdom, studying under a Commonwealth Scholarship in the UK.
His various journal article publications include Examinations into Halda River, Assessment of Teknaf Wildlife Sanctuary, and Environmental impacts on an off shore coastal island of Nijhum Dweep in Bangladesh. The biggest research interests that he has a passion for are the topics of hydro-climate modeling, river ecosystem management and water resources management.
